New York is one state feeling the effects of global warming. Especially those effects related to wildlife and people. The EPA is estimating that the average temperature in New York will rise 4 degrees by 2100. This as a result will affect New York’s forests, coastal eco systems, and the health of the people. For those living along the Manhattan and Long Island coast, they will most likely be facing expensive sand replacement to their beaches due to the rising sea level. There will also be more respiratory problems from the increasing smog and more heat related deaths due to the increasing temperatures.
New York as a whole has more global warming pollution then all of Central America and Mexico combined. That alone is astonishing.
The rising temperatures and sea levels as a result of global warming New York will have an impact on the eco system. As a result wildlife will have to change their ranges or adapt.
